Quarterbacks reign supreme in NFL jersey sales as four out of the top five slots of top selling jerseys were filled by QB’s. The most popular of them all was San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick. His fellow young QB’s helped fill out the top five, read more after the jump.
The 49ers Super Bowl run catapulted Kaepernick to stardom as he has the top selling jersey over the last three months. Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson finished second to Kaepernick, followed by Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.
Despite losing the Super Bowl the 49ers are leading the offseason in jersey sales, followed by the Seahawks new NIKE digs, Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots.
San Diego Chargers linebacker Manti Te’o had the the top-selling rookie jersey, followed by the Rams’ Tavon Austin, the Bill’s E.J. Manuel, the Vikings’ Cordarrelle Patterson and the Packers’ Eddie Lacy.
Retiring didn’t seem to hurt the jersey sales of two high-profile linebackers. Ray Lewis finished eighth in jersey sales over the last three months and Brian Urlacher took the 10th spot.
