Nelson Mandela whom recently celebrated his 95th birthday this past week, is now being honored with an upcoming film that will depict his life and journey to becoming president of South Africa. We previewed the upcoming film’s trailer and it is undeniable the amount of action that will be produced throughout the film, definitely a must see! Idris Elba promises that his role in the film will be a close depiction to whom Mandela is as a man rather than just the leader that everyone has known to love. Although many have played Mandela in previous films , Idris Elba guarantees to put his own twist in the upcoming movie. Sello Maake Ka Ncube, a South African actor whom has played Mandela on stage said that although many gave Mandela justice through their roles, Elba is “interpreting” the life of Mandela through himself rather than “impersonating”, which is refreshing. The film is set to hit theaters on November, 29th. Elba always delivers so this should be a great one!
