John Saunders of Irwin, Kansas is accused and charged with drinking 52 bottles of vintage whiskey! Click the jump to see his defense!
Old Farms Pure Rye Whiskey, which was distilled in 1913, is worth over $100,000 and owned by Pat Hill in Greenburg, Kansas. When she went to check on the whiskey, stored in Saunders basement, she found that half of the bottles were empty. When she asked Saunders what happened to them he could only come up with the excuse of “oh, they must have evaporated!” Hill, then had him arrested and he is now awaiting a trial. Hope the whiskey was worth it!
