Shelton Thomas Bell, a 19 year old from Jacksonville Florida is being accused of traveling to the Middle East in order to train with Terrorists. Shelton is being incriminated for his connection with the militant Islamic Yemen based group Ansar al-Sharia (not to be confused with the group in Libya). Read more after jump
The teenager had travelled to the Middle East with others and underwent a series of training, which included firearm, physical aptitude, as well as other training in order to prepare for combat within the area. Bell is also being accused of recruiting others for this crusade, through videos that he created himself. Bell has caused his share of mayhem within the Jacksonville area, investigators reported that him and another individual participated in a “night time mission” which included vandalizing religious statues at a cemetery.
The Yemen group Ansar Al-Sharia has gained fame from its countless attacks against the Yemeni authorities and numerous terror attacks within their area. If convicted, Bell can reach a sentence of up to 15 years or more for only two charges amongst all of the other charges that have been brought upon him. This teenager has clearly taken the term young and reckless to a new level.
