Hot on the heels of news of Netflix scoring its first Emmy nod for the binge-worthy thriller House of Cards and disrupting media as we know it, there’s some serious heat between CBS and Time Warner right now. The two media titans are apparently sparring over fees for local TV affiliates. Are you in one of the areas affected? Read on to see.

About 3 million Time Warner Cable customers could be affected if CBS and the cable provider don’t ink a deal by Wednesday. If you live in New York, Los Angeles or Dallas and are a Time Warner Cable subscriber, you’re in jeopardy of having your local CBS station blacked out. For New York, that includes WCBS and WLNY. KCBS and KCAL hold down L.A., while KTVT and KTXA are the local CBS affiliates for the Dallas region. Blackouts occur from time to time. Transmission fees are set to reach $3 billion this year and are projected to top $6 billion by 2018.

Even if your access to CBS is limited by the lockout, you can catch Under the Dome on Amazon Prime and catch up on Big Brother on its mobile app the day after it airs.
