He has playboy looks and a supermodel girlfriend, but Mets ace Matt Harvey says he craves to be like — Derek Jeter.
In an interview that will surely make Amazin’s fans cringe, the 24-year-old All-Star pitcher revealed he would like to follow in the 39-year-old Yankees star’s size-11 cleat prints.
“That guy is the model,” Harvey said in an interview in the August edition of Men’s Journal.
“I mean, first off, let’s just look at the women he’s dated,” Harvey said. “Obviously, he goes out – he’s meeting these girls somewhere – but you never hear about it. That’s where I want to be.”
Such talk may not sit well with girlfriend Anne Vyalitsyna, 27, the Russian supermodel and perennial Sports Illustrated swimsuit beauty he has been dating.
