Alveda King, the niece of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King junior has spoken to a radio host in regards to the recently viral photo created by artist Nikkolas Smith. The photo went viral after the verdict in the George Zimmerman Trial and it pays homage to Trayvon Martin. It’s very creative, however, Dr. King’s niece bring’s us back to reality with what she has to say.
While speaking with talk-radio host, Andrea Tantaros, King said, “Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would very likely not wear a hoodie. I can assure you he would not wear sagging pants. I don’t even think I’ve ever even seen his sons with sagging pants.” King then said the verdict had been reached and that Americans must accept it, before adding again, seemingly agitated, “I can almost promise you Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would not wear a hoodie.”
