Today NYC announced that it is teaming up with Cablevision and Time Warner Cable to boost 32 parks Wifi hotspots across all of the five boroughs! This is another way Bloomberg is trying to keep NYC as connected to the internet as possible. Hit the jump to find out how the hotspot will work..
The new hotspots will require users to be Cablevision Optimum Online or Time Warner Cable broadband subscribers in order to get this free access. Those who are will be able to connect for free via any WiFi enabled device for 30 mins every 30 days. Not to worry if you are not a subscriber you can pay a fee of 99 cents per day.
