The not guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman case left many people upset and confused, feeling let down by the justice system. I noticed many people on twitter indicating that the “hood” would carry out justice and Zimmerman wouldn’t remain alive. In fact Zimmerman’s lawyers and family members said several times that he received numerous death threats and is in fear for his life. New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz seemed to share that sentiment and posted it to his twitter account. Read more after the jump.

Though he may feel the same as many of us do unfortunately he isn’t allowed to express it due to his status. Statements like that come with a lot of backlash regardless how we may feel about Zimmerman everyone does not share those feelings. I’m not knocking Cruz for his tweet but obviously he realized the damage of it by choosing to delete it.
