The Washington Wizards recently said they were in the market for a “stretch four” and their interest is in San Antonio Spurs forward DeJuan Blair. Read more after the jump.
The Wizards are hopeful that they’ll be able to work out a sign-and-trade deal with the San Antonio Spurs for Blair, but the Spurs may not have much interest in doing so. A free agent, the big man saw a dramatic loss in playing time for the Spurs this past season as both Tiago Splitter and Boris Diaw replaced him in the rotation. However, now with Diaw a pending free agent at season end, the Spursmight not be inclined to let Blair walk in free agency, especially if his price is cheap.
