Weighing in at 138-pounds, the golden bigeye tuna was referred to as a “one-in-a-million find.” It was caught off of the Philippines, and it was quickly sold to a high-end sushi restaurant in Washington, D.C. If you guessed the tuna ended up on a plate, then you were right. The fisherman who caught this has to eat too right?? Bluefish tuna are usually sold on average at $17 per pound; making this catch worth at least worth $2,346. It’s unsure how much this beautiful-colored tuna sold for, but the fisherman definitely got paid.
