After shocking the basketball world and sliding to the New Orleans Pelicans at pick six, before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2013 NBA Draft, Nerlens Noel will wear No. 5 as a reminder of all the teams that passed up on selecting him. Since the legendary Allen Iverson wore Noel’s college number, 3, while playing for the Sixers, the rookie big man had to make another choice.
