Much like the Frying Pan Tower resort, the Spitbank Fort resort is also located in water, but Spitbank Fort is 24 miles closer to it’s shore. It’s located one mile off the coast of Hampshire, England. Spitbank Fort had multiple owners after being sold in 1982 by the Ministry of Defense, but now it’s in the hands of the Clarenco Group and its executive chairman, Mike Clare. They spent $4.5 million to turn the military sea fort into a luxury resort.
