The Mavs are lucky they recently signed some guards. They got Devin Harris, who was with Dallas earlier in his career, as well as Jose Calderon, and newly signed free agent Monta Ellis. So it is not like the Mavs will be needing Larkin for now, but he will miss valuable time on the court learning the offense and game plans. His father knows what it takes to succeed as a professional athlete so I am sure he will help Shane during the injury.
