The Trayvon Martin case has been VERY tense these last few days, with Judge Debra Nelson and Zimmerman’s lawyer Don West going at each other back and forth. When asked if he would come to the stand to testify, he said “Not at this time.” Find out the whole story and check out the video after the jump.
Judge Nelson was incredulous that Zimmerman would not testify, and asked him multiple times if he needed more time to make that decision. The evidence will now include a witness, Dennis Root, a former police officer who is also a professional on force. He claims that because Zimmerman is not really athletic, that he would be the underdog in a physical altercation between the two. At this point if Zimmerman cannot defend himself in court, he should not be left off the hook.
