Google has announced that as of August 9th there you will no longer be able to share your location using Google Latitude. Friends will not be able to see your location via Google Maps for Android and iPhone and everywhere else it is readily available. Although Google has not come out officially on their reasoning to do away with this service people are speculating that they want you to use this feature on Google+ more than anything.
