Stella is a lightweight carbon and aluminum vehicle that can go up to a distance of 373 miles on a single charge. The solar panels on her actually generate more energy than it needs to drive making for all that excess energy is put to be put in the grid. The fact that Stella can support a family of four is remarkable considering most solar powered cars can only support one individual. She is participating in the World Solar Challenge in the Australian Outback this October to put her speed, passenger count, and efficiency to the test!
