The days of squinting and binoculars are over! A team of researchers are in the process of designing the world’s first telescopic contact lens that will allow you to ZOOM IN and OUT. Hit the jump to find out more..
Although just a prototype for now it is expected to come with two optical paths, one for 2.8x magnified vision and the other for regular vision. There will also be a selective blocking that will give the person the opportunity to switch between which view they want to see out of the two. The contacts would come with a remote that would help maneuver the zoom control. These contacts are made to help people with AMD, a common eye condition that affects the central vision from seeing objects clearly.
