Now that the Miami Heat has secured another NBA Championship for the second year in a row the focus is shifting to offseason moves. Free agency is steadily approaching and there’s already been talks about whether the Big 3 will remain in tact. While that is yet to be seen one thing that is often brought up is that the Heat definitely need to add size to their roster and they may have found their answer. Read more after the jump.
Greg Oden is interested in joining the back-to-back champions and the Heat are interested in adding Oden into their frontcourt. Oden hasn’t played in the NBA since December 5, 2009 but has been rehabbing in Ohio as he prepares to make a comeback. The San Antonio Spurs, Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers and Charlotte Bobcats are also considered possible destinations for Oden.
The once promising and former No. 1 overall draft pick has had a disappointing NBA career due to chronic knee issues. After several surgeries and rehab Oden feels like he’s finally ready to make an impact. If he does I’m sure the Portland Trailblazers will feel a little salty after all the time and money invested.
