While Paula Deen Enterprises tries to play damage control to decrease the controversy surrounding the uncovered racist past of herself and her family that came out in the lawsuit of a former manager of her restaurant Bubba’s Oyster House in Savannah, more people are speaking out against Deen, including Wendy Williams. And as always said, we know that Wendy is not one to hold back. In an interview, she spoke on the drama and alluded to the fact that this might not be the first time she has heard of Deen’s habit of being “more than a little bit racist” at times. “This is something that has been swirling around about Paula Deen for longer than this story.
It’s just a shame to hear that she has admitted in her deposition that she uses the word and that she freely throws around racist jokes. She seems to think that it’s okay. It’s not okay. It just goes to show you money doesn’t buy you class, it only exposes who you really are. Stupid is as stupid does.”
Williams went on to question the friendship between Deen and the Queen of Talk, Oprah, referring to her as Deen’s “black friend” and questioning if Oprah ever knew about her past and if she ever stepped up to say something to Deen about it….
“Oprah, believe it or not, is the first person I thought about when I heard this statement. I said ‘I wonder if her black friend Oprah knows about this statement?’ I wonder if Oprah’s been privy in person to hear Paula use this and if she’s ever talked to Paula about it… I’m done with Paula Deen.”
Seems like Paula better start digging herself out of this one……
