There have been some real idiotic responses during Miss America Pageants throughout the years, but this one might take the crown. Marissa Powell, also known as Miss Utah, completely butchered her response when asked about income equality in the U.S. Hit the jump to see what the 21-year-old Miss America contestant had to say that has everyone shaking their heads!

When asked about why she thinks gender gaps still exist in America, this is what Miss Utah had to say to the judges:
“I think we can relate this back to education … and how we are continuing to try to strive … to figure out how to create jobs right now. That is the biggest problem. I think especially the men are seen as the leaders of this and so we need to figure out how to create education better so that we can solve this problem.”
