So there really should be no surprise here but studio executives are really happy with the numbers that “Man of Steel” did this weekend. The movie ended up making $125 Million this weekend. Movie studio execs expected the movie to do between $75 Million and $130 Million. Its safe to say that superman fans came out and held it down for their favorite superhero. “They finally got the Superman formula right,” said Paul Dergarabedian, an analyst for box-office tracker Hollywood.com. “Superhero movies really are the bread and butter of the summer box office. The fact that `Iron Man 3′ has the biggest opening of the year so far and `Man of Steel’ has the second biggest opening of the year just proves that.”
