Dennis Rodman seems to have a strong opinion about Lebron James. It isn’t so much about Lebron himself, but more of how the sports media continues to always try and compare him to Rodman’s former Bulls teammate Michael Jordan. He also with no hesitation said the Bulls teams he was on would have no problem with the Miami Heat and would beat them pretty easily. Gotta love Rodman when he talks, always good for a story lol. Check out how detailed he got with the interview after the jump.

Rodman first spoke on the comparisons between Bron and MJ on the “Dan Patrick Show”. “It’s really not a comparison. If LeBron was playing in the late ’80s and early ’90s, he would be just an average player,” Rodman said Friday on “The Dan Patrick Show.” “To do what Michael has done … what he did was more charisma, there was more articulating and stuff like that. LeBron is more like … there’s no flash to his game. He’s a great player, don’t get me wrong, he’s a hell of player, I’ll give him that. But to me Scottie (Pippen) and Michael are probably the two best one-two punches I’ve ever seen.” Rodman said he is just “sick and tired” of the comparisons, especially since he feels it is two different eras. He also said Jordan would average close to 40 points per game in today’s game. Jordan had to do it during a very physical era of the NBA, where as Bron plays in a much more soft type of league nowadays with the way fouls are called.
As for the Heat as a whole, Rodman had some funny thoughts. “It would be no contest. The Heat has better talent than we had, but we had smarter players,” Rodman said. “That’s the only thing we had, smarter players. … I would take Bosh out of his damn game easy. That’s not even a problem. And how would Dwyane Wade match up with Scottie Pippen? Really? And Scottie Pippen would guard LeBron easy. And how are you going to cover those two guys (Jordan and Pippen)?” I agree about the team vs team comparison. The Heat would not be able to last against Jordan’s Bulls. Lebron will continue to be compared to MJ for the rest of his career, but it is no fault of his own, that us just what the media will do to make a story for themselves. What you guys think of what Rodman said?
