Melo haters always want to say he shoots too much. With the team he has though what do you expect him to do. Most players on the Knicks can’t even get themselves an open shot and at times he has to take over. A crazy stat was brought to basketball fans attention last night though. Now remember, the Knicks went out in the second round, so the fact Melo still leads this stat in the playoffs is crazy. As of game 1 of the NBA finals last night, Carmelo still led all players who were in the playoffs with shots attempted. In the Knicks 12 total playoff games, melo took 310 shots. After Game 1 of the finals last night, Lebron was in second with 308 shots, but he has already played 5 more playoff games than Melo. Knicks fans like me however realize that we need him to shoot that much with the current team we have. It still is a funny stat.
