Tom Donilon is the current national security adviser for President Obama, but he’s resigning. To replace Donilon will be Susan Rice who is the current U.S. ambassador of the United Nations. Rice does not need confirmation from the Senate to take on this post.
The U.S. ambassador has been talked down on for her misguided information on the Benghazi attacks back in Sept. of 2012 stating that the attacks were ‘triggered by protests over an anti-Islam film,’ which according to lawmakers is not factual.
Why Donilon is resigning, we don’t know, but we will keep you informed.
