Well, if anyone should keep quiet about women and their rights, it would probably be Roman Polanski. In the 70’s he was convicted of statutory rape of a 13 year-old and then fled to France. He hasn’t returned to the United States since and remains a free man. However, while at the Cannes Film Festival debuting a new film, Polanski decided to chime in on women’s birth control. Keep reading to see what he had to say.
When questioned about birth control, Polanski said the pill had a “masculinizing” effect on women. He also said birth control “changed the place of women in our times,” calling the leveling of sexes “idiotic”.
Duly noted Polanski, we’ll go back to not caring about what you have to say…now.
