As Amanda Bynes continues her rather scary downward spiral, her poor parents are worried sick and are fearing that their daughter is suffering from an extreme case of schizophrenia. They’ve reportedly encouraged the troubled actress to seek professional help, but Amanda isn’t budging.
Her family resided in Texas for the longest, but moved to L.A. in recent years to be closer to Amanda because she’d apparently always exhibited “distressing behavior,” even as a teen. Unfortunately, Amanda then moved to NYC and now they’re on complete opposite sides of the country.
“Amanda has heard voices for years, and was concerned she was being spied on via smoke alarms, and clocks in her home,” a source says. “She would cover electronic items because Amanda believed that was the only way she wouldn’t be spied on. It’s extremely sad situation because Amanda just refuses to get help.”
Rick and Lynn Bynes are hoping to secure a conservatorship (a la Britney Spears), but it’s not very easy at ALL. What’s worse, Amanda has added them to her ever-growing sh*t list. “My parents are almost 70 years old. We are no longer on speaking terms,” she said in a recent Twitter rant. “I would rather them be homeless than live off of my money.” So sad!
