Whether you like it not Lebron James and Michael Jordan comparisons will never die. The two are extraordinary basketball players dominating their respective times. During game 2 of the Miami Heat’s series against the Indiana Pacers, Lebron had two fatal turnovers late in the game that costed the Heat the win. One thing that seemed to resound amongst the chatter is that 1. Jordan would never defer and pass the ball in crunchtime and 2. Jordan wouldn’t have two game killing turnovers. Well it turns out he did both. Check it out after the jump.
In the second round of the Chicago Bulls playoff series against the Orlando Magic Michael did the unthinkable and had not one but two costly turnovers.
I came across this video on ProBasketballTalk and posted it not to make an excuse for Lebron but to show that Jordan is human and made mistakes as well. There’s no question that Jordan is a legend, an icon, the greatest of all time. However we’ve built up this mythical memory of Jordan that he never ever made a mistake but the truth is he wasn’t perfect. While Lebron certainly hasn’t reached the level that Michael accomplished in his career, we have to admit he’s the greatest right now and give him time to learn and grow.
