This is incredibly sad, only weeks after having a double mastectomy to avoid breast cancer, Angelina Jolie may have to say goodbye to her aunt. Debbie Martin, Jolie’s aunt, is currently in a coma after being taken off life support. Martin, who is the sister of Jolie’s mother, suffered a seizure while in the hospital battling the cancer and that has led to her comatose state. Angelina recently announced that she had a double mastectomy following her family’s history with breast cancer and test results saying she was high risk for the disease. Jolie also plans on having her ovaries removed as well. Read more below.
Ronald Martin, Angelina Jolie’s uncle, spoke on his wife’s condition saying, “She had a seizure and we took her into the hospital. They have turned off the life-support and her family is all here holding her hand. This is the love of my life.” Her brother-in-law added “She’s in a coma. It’s breast cancer but I think it spread everywhere.”
Debbie Martin is 61-years-old, only five years older than Angelina’s mother was when she lost her battle to ovarian cancer.
