Edwin Vargas, a Bronx detective, was arrested today by the FBI and NYPD Internal Affairs for cyberstalking his ex-girlfriend and hacking into other police officers email accounts. These are some serious accusations. According to sources, He allegedly tried to hack into about 40 different email accounts with 21 of them belonging to the NYPD. Supposedly he hired an email hacking service to hack into them, Also, he is suspected of doing some illegal activity since 2010 and spending over $4,000 for the information. He reportedly accessed the the National Crime Information Center database that is run by the FBI. So far he is being charged with one count of conspiracy to commit computer hacking and one count of computer hacking.
