17 days after the collapse of a factory in Bangladesh, a woman was rescued today from the rubble. Resha is said to be in good health after being rescued today. She told rescuers that she survived by eating dried foods that were near her and drinking from a water bottle. Reshma ran out of the dried food two days ago and survived on water, which she limited to preserve it. She attempted to make noise when rescuers approached, but she wasn’t heard. It wasn’t until someone heard her groan this morning that she was found under the rubble. Read more below.
As soon as Reshma was rescued, she was given water, oxygen, and saline. It took about 40 minutes for people to pull her out of the rubble. Thankfully for Reshma, the area near here was wide enough that she didn’t sustain any injuries.
