Washington was being investigated, and then subsequently was arrested by Phoenix police for assault after an ex girlfriend and mother of one of his children accused Washington of beating her up.
CBS 5 in Phoenix is now reporting that the victim has a broken collarbone. According to reports, Washington went to his ex girlfriend’s house to see their 5-month-old daughter.
Court documents says they got into an altercation, and Washington allegedly her neck and choked her near her apartment. Police reports say they then got into a second fight in the parking lot, where Washington allegedly pushed her to the ground causing his ex to break her collarbone.
CBS 5 tried to speak to the victim, but she stated she could not speak to the media.
Phoenix police released a statement that this actually was not the first altercation between the couple.
“What I understand is with Mr. Washington and the victim, they had some altercations in the past, but failed to report those to police,” said Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos.
