What to do with Sandy Hook Elementary School is currently being debated. Many people think the school should reopen while others think the school should be torn down and a new one should be built nearby. The students who started the year in the Newtown school are currently in a school in a nearby town following the Sandy Hook massacre. The final meeting of what to do with the school will occur on May 10. Now the daughter of the slain principal of the school is speaking out and threatening to protest if the school reopens. Erica Lafferty, the principal’s daughter, said “I will chain my body to it in protest if they try to reopen it.” Hopefully the people of Newtown make a decision that pleases as many people as they can.
