The two brothers, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who caused havoc at the Boston Marathon, were supposedly plotting to set their bombs off on July Fourth of this year.
Since Independence Day is such a widely celebrated holiday all over the U.S., they felt that the bombs would target larger groups of people. Apparently, they had finished making their bombs [with a pressure cooker] earlier than planned and wanted to set them off immediately. Tamerlan, 26, was killed during an intense shoot-out with the police and his brother, Dzhokhar, 19, is currently being held at a prison in Massachushets. Dzhokhar has been charged with crimes connecting him to the Boston Marathon Bombing, which could eventually land him to fry if he is convicted. More updates on this story coming soon.
