I was sick when I heard that Kriss Kross member, Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly had passed away. Saddening, but the reality of it all, is that he may have died from major drug use. Drop down bottom for more details.
According to a police report, the night before Mac Daddy died he had taken a combination of heroin and cocaine. Kelly’s mother, Donna Kelly Pratt told the police that when her son did drugs, she would usually bring him home to recoup, which is what she did the night prior to his death. The backwards pants wearing rapper was feeling “nauseous” all day until he’d passed out. Once medics got on the scene, they made an attempt to revive him, but it didn’t work. They took Kelly to the hospital where they pronounced him dead. According to his mother and uncle, Chris Kelly had been battling his demons with drugs for some time now.
So, sad. This guy is one half of a trend that had everyone jumping! It’s too bad that there is a possibility that drugs was his downfall. After celebrating the 20th anniversary of So So Def, it was rumored that JD had something was in the works. I know that would have been a GREAT comeback.
