Earlier we told you that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were being self-less by requesting donations to Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago be made in lieu of baby gifts from friends, family, and fans. It’s incredibly generous that Kim and Kanye are giving back to the hospital since their baby won’t really want for anything. I’m sure that friends and family will probably still give the couple gifts, but hopefully they will make a donation to the hospital as well. A representative for the hospital issues a statement in regards to the couple’s heroic act. Read what was said below.
A rep for the hospital said, “Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago would like to extend its sincerest gratitude to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West for their thoughtfulness and support of the hospital,” adding, “Funds donated on behalf of Kardashian and West will be directed to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Fund which will help care for the most critically ill babies and their families.” The rep finished the statement with “We wish them all the best in the upcoming arrival of their baby.”
