Tyler Perry recently received some bad news in the form of a lawsuit. Tyler is being sued by William James over his movie, Temptation. James claimed that Perry got the idea for his movie after James’ screenplay, “Lovers Kill.” Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor, bombed with the critics but brought in a cool, $49 million. James gave his screenplay to someone who was supposed to give it to Oprah to relay it to Tyler, so he isn’t even sure that Tyler read it. Lionsgate has also been named in the lawsuit and rep for neither Perry or Lionsgate had a comment. It seems like this lawsuit might not stick after all.
