I really hope this doesn’t happen. The Oklahoma City Thunder are one of the most exciting teams to watch as an NBA fan with Durant & Westbrook, not too mention favorites to make it back to the NBA finals. Westbrook will reportedly undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, which will sideline him for possibly the entire Playoffs. This has OKC fans sick. CNN sports reporter Rachel Nichols broke the news. This is the worst possible timing for something like this as the Thunder try to make another deep playoff run. It is going to be very difficult without Westbrook. He was playing in pain for a while, but team doctors decided he should have the procedure. Now Durant will have to step up big time and carry the team by himself. There is no time table yet for Westbrook to return, so there is a chance he could come back later in the playoffs, but don’t count on it. Read the tweets from Nichols in the gallery.
