Google has put a stop to allowing app updates outside of Google Play store. Android app developers now have to issue update to apps through the Google Play store. In the company’s Developer Program Policies, the company wrote, “An app downloaded from Google Play may not modify, replace or update its own APK binary code using any method other than Google Play’s update mechanism.” Even Facebook Home has to abide by the new policy change.
