In the state of Washington, The state Attorney General filed a court order against the T-Mobile calling their advertisements deceptive. Attorney General Bob Ferguson says that the company ads did not fully inform its customers of how the new no contract phone service works. T-Mobile does not tell customers buying phones that if they cancel their plan before their 2 year installment plan is up they will have a pay a balloon payment. Ferguson says “T-Mobile must abide by certain orders including that the company clearly outline its plan limitations in its advertising.” Customers who purchased T-Mobile service and phones over the last 30 days will be eligible for a refund in Washington.
