After visiting his high school Tivy where he was presented the key to Kerrville, the 2012 Heisman trophy winner spoke with the media and according to Brent Zwerneman of San Antonio Express, Johnny Football was “a changed man” because of his favorite rapper, Drizzy.
It had to do with a recent trip to Toronto to visit his favorite musician, Drake — a journey Manziel claimed “changed my life forever.”
“To meet the No. 1 person on my bucket list, and for him to treat me like he did and how that whole trip went for me — I came back a completely different person,” Manziel said.
He motioned toward the Heisman Trophy next to him on the table and added, “This can change people’s lives forever.” Which is why he said he’s making a point to take part in more charity work and simply try to use the power of the Heisman for good.
“To use this not only as a platform to meet cool people and do cool things,” he said, “but to change other people’s lives forever.”
