With and exclusive interview, Flex informs us on why he’s lasted in the game for such a long time by stating, “The mixtape game is still mine. I wanted to return as crown holder of those mixtapes. I’m a DJ. I’m better and I plan on holding that crown. I’m super competitive.” The Hot 97 DJ adds, I’m going to play the way you play. I let people set the tone. When I fire back at you, you gotta be ready for that. Not to complain and cry. You played the game. I’m alright with the game. If you play the game, make sure you’re ready to play forever.
It took a specific “method” of Flex’s to get artists like, Ace Hood, Uncle Murda, Troy Ave, AraabMuzik, and DJ Mustard on this mixtape and with a competitive soul like Flex’s, it’s no wonder the thrown still belongs to him.
