Time magazine’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world was revealed today (Hov on the cover!) and hit newsstands Friday. Four athletes made the list. Can you guess who they are?! I got 1 of the 4 right. SMH. Check it out after the jump…
Via USAToday:
Lindsey Vonn
The world’s greatest skier is the most underrated active athlete in America. But she’s injured and it’s a non-Olympic year. The most press she’s getting these days is for dating Tiger Woods. Why did she make this list? Probably because they got Danica Patrick to write up her blurb.
Mario Balotelli
Why the Italian soccer star and not Lionel Messi, the world’s top player? Messi made it in 2012. Unless you’re a president or Europe’s central banker, you don’t make this list twice in a row.
Li Na
Chris Evert has a nice write-up of the Chinese tennis star and the influence she has in the nation of 1.3 billion.
LeBron James
LeBron’s blurb was written by Derek Jeter, who begins, “I’ve had the chance to meet LeBron James, and I know he’s a Yankees fan. I also know it must be tough to root for the Yankees while living in Miami and Cleveland.”
