So earlier, I posted up a video of A$AP Rocky’s Do’s & Don’ts. I’m not exactly ‘fond’ of all of the advice given, so I decided to put together some of my favorite ‘secret’ spots to shop in NYC. Tired of H&M and Topshop? Check out 3 of my favorite fashion spots below!
1) Mr. Throwback. This store is too dope. I made my way over to 428 East 9th Street recently and found this store. They were voted Best Nostalgia Shop by New York Mag, Complex #4 Best Vintage Shop, Time Out NY, Urban daddy, East Village New York Times Local Blog & plenty more. They style celebrities and have some stuff you can’t find anywhere else! All things vintage, from Ninja Turtles to Barkley Jerseys… definitely my favorite spot in the city. 2) Next spot, Rag & Bone, it’s located in the Meatpacking district. It’s a new store, had it’s grand opening a few weeks ago, West 13th Street, and features an in-house beverage station from Jack’s Coffee. Gives off a very sophisticated feel, and grown and sexy looks!
3) The last spot, CIVILIANAIRE. It’s a pretty new spot, and it has some type of LA vibe to it. The selection is to the point, mostly male items but they do have clothes for both sexes. For the fellas, 100% cotton Japanese jeans are pretty costly, but the material is worth it. Check it out over at 55 E Houston.
