A new survey finds that people are getting ruder on Facebook and user tolerance is wearing out. A corporate training firm, VitalSmarts, finds that 2 out of 5 internet users have ended relationships with friends due to an online altercation. Also, out of the 2,698 people the company surveyed, 78% of blocking, unfriending or unsubscribing over a virtual disagreement.

Ari Zoldan, CEO of consulting firm Quantum Media Holdings said for the party being “un-friended,” the move may come as a shock and it’s virtually slapping someone in the face.” Zoldan continued, “But of course, anything you do online has a 100% repercussion rate as to what happens in the physical world, face-to-face. If you unfriend or unsubscribe, it’s a personal blow to them.”
