Congratulations to the Louisville Cardinals mens basketball team on winning the 2013 NCAA Championship. They won 82-76 over Michigan, in what was one of the best championship games in years. It was back and forth all night until Lousiville finally pulled away in the final few minutes. The season ends in heart warming fashion for the Cardinals with being able to win a championship for teammate Kevin Ware, who broke his leg last weekend against Duke in a horrifying injury. It was well publicized all week they wanted to win it for Kevin. Michigan proved to be a champion team as well, just so happened to fall short tonight. Check out the videos and photos after the jump.

The stars for each team played just like starts are supposed to in the second half. Louisville guard Peyton Siva and Michigan guard Trey Burke put their teams on their backs and put on a show. Burke scored 17 in the second half for Michigan, while Siva made big play after big play down the stretch. Title games recently have turned out to be not as expected in the excitement category. Low scoring, bad shooting or blow out wins have been the usual in the past 10 years with a few exceptions. So to have a game like this that was back and forth between two great teams with great players playing at the highest level was a joy to see for all college basketball fans.
