Cowboys fan or not, everyone had an opinion a couple weeks ago when the Cowboys signed Tony Romo to a 6 year extension worth $108 million. Many of us all thought the same thing. How could a player who has never won anything get all that money. Only 1 playoff win since he has been there, and constantly disappointing seasons that ended without even making the playoffs. People have been wondering when would Romo get cut, but instead he got a huge deal. Well it seems it is not just fans who have an opinion. Romo’s pro bowl teammate and best defensive player DeMarcus Ware has something to say to Tony and he better listen. See what he said after the jump.

Now lets be clear, Ware is not mad that Romo got a nice new contract. He feels all players are deserving of the money they get. But he is making it loud and clear to Romo that he better realize the responsibility that comes with this deal. Ware told the Dallas Morning News “I feel like everybody is deserving to whatever is given to him, but at the end of the day, to me it’s put up or shut up. I’m just being straight-up honest with you. Get out there and be productive, and that’s with any player. Whatever they get, they’re deserving of it. You just got to get out there and play and I know he can be and will be the quarterback that is going to be the quarterback that is going to take us to the next level.” Basically Ware is saying “Romo, I know your good, but enough is enough. You got to make something happen now. Enough of the disappointments and choke jobs” I am quite sure if this next season ends once again with Dallas not making the playoffs, Ware will have much more harsh comments for the QB.
