Google purchased Frommer’s travel guides just a few months ago and just last month decided to do away with the printed version of the popular travel guides. The Founder, Arthur Frommer, was not having that and decided to buy back his company form Google. The reason the search engine giant purchased Frommer’s travel guides was to add more to their searches when it comes to local places.Google is said to have paid $22 million when it purchased Frommer’s from publishing house John Wiley & Sons. The price that Frommer paid is not known at this time.
