IFWT Obama

President Barack Obama was in attendance at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. to watch the East Regional final between Syracuse and Marquette (Syracuse won by the way).  While there he faced off with the second most powerful man in Washington, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III.  The president had some key advice for the athlete.  Read more after the jump.

According to the Washington Times, President Obama told Griffin to protect himself.

“In a face-to-face meeting during the NCAA men’s basketball tournament East Region final between Syracuse and Marquette, Obama spoke to Griffin about “protecting myself,” Griffin said. Griffin spoke to a reporter as security whisked him, his fiancee and his sister through hordes of camera phone-holding fans out of the arena to street level moments after Syracuse completed its 55-39 victory. There was no opportunity for a follow-up question. Griffin winked before he turned and hurried ahead.”

Now did the president tell Griffin to protect himself on the field or from him?
