Phil Ramone, a Grammy winner for his production work, has passed away at age 79. Ramone’s death was confirmed by his son, Matt Ramone. The family did not release details as to how the producer passed away but said that his father was “very loving and will be missed.” Billy Joel released a statement saying, “I always thought of Phil Ramone as the most talented guy in my band,” Joel said in a statement. “So much of my music was shaped by him and brought to fruition by him.
